'A close 'knit' community'

Today was the day

Today was the day that Down to Earth Practical Solutions represented the Canberra community in handing over almost 250 knitted and crocheted blankets, beanies, scarves, gloves and so much more. We would like to acknowledge and thank the amazing work that The Salvation Army do both in Canberra and nationally.

Down to Earth would like to ask each of you reading this post to consider how (in context) you might talk to/with children about homelessness. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the 'Canberra, a close Knit Community Campaign'. In particular we pay special gratitude to Tegan Graham, Donna Graham, "Grandma", Tess Ryan, Louise Samuels, Louise Martin, Cyndy Newman-Piromalli The Team at Goodstart Early LearningCentre (Kambah), Canberra Girls Grammar, Brigitte Daurian, Joy Bevan, Carole Griffiths, Janet Mountseer, Claire Momcilovic, Woden Valley Childcare Centre, and so many more........

Today was the inaugural 'hand over' and we are making this event an annual one. So 18 May 2018 is what you need to aim for before we hand over again.

Today, we listened to the language of community compassion.
